Imported DLLs (objdump -p) - all are Windows system DLLs, nothing else needs to be shipped

  SHELL32.dll
  WS2_32.dll

Build choices
  * Decode-only: --disable-everything, then only the decoders/demuxers/parsers/
    protocols/filters/encoders/muxers listed above (+ what configure auto-selects:
    h263 decoder for mpeg4, vp9_superframe_split bsf, and the filters the ffmpeg CLI
    needs: aformat anull atrim crop format hflip null rotate transpose trim vflip;
    buffer/buffersink/abuffer/abuffersink are always built).
  * Threads: w32threads (native Win32 threads, no winpthread DLL); frame/slice
    threading for the FFmpeg decoders, dav1d uses its own thread pool.
  * x86 SIMD: NASM, runtime CPU detection (SSE2...AVX2/AVX-512 chosen at run time).
  * --enable-small: chosen. Measured on i5-9600K (CPU time, median of 5, vs. the
    -O3 build): H.264 1080p 10 Mbit/s decode +3.9% CPU, H.264->1280x732 RGBA pipeline
    -2..+2%, AV1 (libdav1d) / VP9 / HEVC within noise; size 10.30 MB -> ~7.8 MB.
    Side effects are cosmetic only: no long codec/format descriptions, no Windows
    version resource, HEVC SPS parser logs "Unknown profile bitstream" at WARNING
    level (not visible with -loglevel error).
  * Tried and rejected: -ffunction-sections + -Wl,--gc-sections (exe +46 KB:
    per-section alignment padding > removed dead code), -O2 + gc-sections
    (.text -14% vs -O3 but larger than -Os), -fdata-sections (exe 27 MB, see
    the top of build.sh).
  * No TLS (https) by request. If ever needed: --enable-schannel
    --enable-protocol=https,tls adds HTTPS via Windows' own TLS (secur32/crypt32
    system DLLs, no extra libraries).
